Family Office Networks Launches FON Marketplace Platform for Public Companies
Palm Beach, FL – (December 10, 2019) – Family Office Networks announced today the launch of an online technology platform that offers qualified public companies the opportunity to list on FON Marketplace and connect with family office investors. The new platform can be accessed at https://www.fomarketplace.com/ and represents the latest phase of Family Office Networks’ financial technology expansion.
The new platform allows family offices to view, list and co-invest in public companies interested in reaching Family Office Networks’ community of over 10,000 single and multi-family offices. In addition to public companies, FON Marketplace includes alternative investment products such as private equity, real estate, direct, sponsored and venture backed transactions as well as luxury products and services such as private aviation, art, autos, jewelry, yachts and more. Family offices will utilize the new technology to simplify the investment process and will be able to filter transactions by key parameters such as size, industry and geography.
“Family offices have invested in family run businesses for generations, including both private companies as well as publicly traded companies which have more transparency and liquidity. Indeed, many of the country’s largest publicly traded companies began as a family business before going public — WalMart, Ford, Cargill, Bechtel and Mars, for example,” said Andrew Schneider, Founder and CEO of Family Office Networks. “Our platform stands out because we have the strongest distribution network of family offices seeking to allocate into well-run public companies with tremendous upside potential.”
“Ever since banking was separated from research, public companies have had a very difficult time finding anyone to listen to their story. We hear time and time again that family offices see value in public companies and that small-cap and mid-cap public company valuations are one of the only places to find rationality in the marketplace. The great thing about FON Marketplace is that it is a central hub specifically designed for family offices to uniquely evaluate these opportunities,” said Steven Saltzstein, Co-Founder and Co-CEO.
By simplifying the investment process, FON Marketplace makes it as efficient as possible for families who want to identify and invest in fully vetted and listed public companies. The overall intent is to get more transactions completed online in a community that is open almost exclusively to family offices and accredited investors. In addition, the platform will be accessible by family offices as well as other broker-dealers and financial advisors with significant family office clients. A mobile app is also under development and will be launched in 2020.
